On the Monday after the Thanksgiving weekend, the Supreme Court will file its opinion in People v. Rodas, which was argued on the September calendar. (Briefs here; oral argument video here.) It will be the second opinion sporting the court’s new format.
Rodas will address the issue whether the trial court violated the defendant’s right to due process by failing to suspend proceedings after his attorney declared a doubt as to his competence. First District, Division Two, Court of Appeal Presiding Justice J. Anthony Kline is the pro tem.
The opinion can be viewed Monday starting at 10:00 a.m.
