As we recently mentioned, the Court issued no opinions for a considerable period after late August. This was due to the fact that, as usual, the Court heard no arguments in July or August. As a result, no cases were in the pipeline for a while. Well, the Court ended that streak at 62 days on Monday, issuing two opinions, one civil and one criminal. Both cases were argued at the special session at UC Hastings College of Law on September 7.
