Justice Arguelles memorial and Chief Justice’s last oral arguments tomorrow; no conference this week

December 6, 2022

The Supreme Court is holding a memorial session for Justice John Arguelles tomorrow and will then hear arguments on its four-case December calendar.

These will be Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye’s last oral arguments. She chose not to run for reelection and her term ends in four weeks, at which time she will lead the Public Policy Institute of California.

As usual, the arguments will be live streamed.

Because of the oral arguments, the court will not be conferencing this week and there will be a double conference next week.
