Supreme Court is closed tomorrow; justices conferenced today

March 30, 2021

Tomorrow is Cesar Chavez Day, a state and judicial holiday.  The Supreme Court will be closed.

Since the holiday falls on a Wednesday, the normal day for the court’s conferences, the justices conferenced today.  If they didn’t meet this week, and with no conference next week because of oral arguments, the next Wednesday conference would have been a triple one.  Today’s conference was not unpredictable.
