“Why Goodwin Liu Should Be California’s Next Attorney General”

January 8, 2021

Attorney Virgil Roberts writes in Black Voice News that Justice Goodwin Liu should be appointed as California Attorney General if the current AG, Xavier Becerra, is confirmed as President Joe Biden’s Secretary of Health and Human Services.  Roberts endorses Liu because, Roberts says, Liu has long been “a leading voice on issues of racial justice” and can “put[ ] racial justice at the center of the public agenda.”

Journalists have previously mentioned Liu not only as a potential California Attorney General but also as a possible U.S. Attorney General, the latter position just recently offered to Court of Appeals Judge Merrick Garland.
