Supreme Court grants cert. in Ninth Circuit case involving maritime punitive damages (Batterton v. Dutra Group)

When the Ninth Circuit issued this opinion back in January, we observed that it had the makings of a good cert. petition. The Supreme Court thought so too, and issued an order today granting the defendant’s petition.
