The San Diego Union-Tribune reports on the City Council’s vote to pursue SCOTUS review of the Supreme Court’s unanimous August decision in Boling v. Public Employment Relations Board. The court there held that San Diego’s mayor violated a statutory duty to meet and confer with a municipal employees’ union before supporting a successful 2012 citizens’ initiative to reform the employees’ pension system.
