Sacramento will have to wait some more for a Supreme Court visit

February 5, 2024

Because of COVID, the Supreme Court hasn’t heard oral arguments in Sacramento in four years. That was scheduled to end tomorrow with the four-case February calendar after the court returned to its pre-pandemic ways.

But the weather has put a damper on those plans. Because of the rain, the justices and counsel will participate in the arguments remotely.

February is the only planned argument session for Sacramento. Unless the schedule is changed, there will be a fifth year before the State’s high court goes back to California’s capital for a sitting.
