Revised oral argument protocols

It looks like the Supreme Court is ready to resume its pre-pandemic routine of holding some oral argument calendars outside San Francisco. Besides announcing it would hear its June cases at a special session in San Diego, the court yesterday issued an administrative order saying its San Diego trip signals a return to “its practice of conducting some in-person oral argument sessions in locations other than San Francisco.” The other locations are usually Sacramento and Los Angeles.

I guess that means the technical upgrades to the Sacramento and Los Angeles courtrooms (see here and here) will be completed by the end of the July-August oral argument hiatus.
