Justice Evans profiled in the Daily Journal

David S. Ettinger November 7, 2026

The Daily Journal has published a profile of Justice Kelli Evans, “Retained by voters, Evans remains persistent dissenter on Supreme Court.”

The article by Laurinda Keys is online now and scheduled for publication in Monday’s paper.  It is sub-headlined, “Voters retained Justice Kelli Evans despite a law enforcement campaign targeting her frequent dissents.  Lawyers say her limited bench experience hasn’t mattered; her opinions press colleagues on racial bias, sentencing and legislative intent.”  The profile cites to statistics from our report, The 2025–2026 term in numbers — the conferences; also, I’m quoted.
