Justice Corrigan appointed again to the Judicial Council

September 3, 2020

Chief Justice — and Judicial Council chair — Tani Cantil-Sakauye today appointed Justice Carol Corrigan to the Council.  The news release reports Justice Corrigan previously served on the Council from 1997 to 2001, when she was on the Court of Appeal.

Justice Corrigan succeeds Justice Ming Chin, who retired Monday.  The state constitution requires the Council to include “the Chief Justice and one other judge of the Supreme Court” and provides, “Council membership terminates if a member ceases to hold the position that qualified the member for appointment.”
