Jury misconduct opinion filing Monday

December 5, 2014

On Monday morning, the Supreme Court will file its opinion in People v. Lavender, in which the court will decide whether the Court of Appeal erred by reversing defendants’ convictions for juror misconduct and remanding for a new trial rather than remanding for an evidentiary hearing into the misconduct.

Lavender was argued on the court’s October calendar.

The opinion can be viewed Monday starting at 10:00 a.m.
