Horvitz & Levy LLP is pleased to announce the addition of attorney Jean Doherty to the firm.
Ms. Doherty, who joins us from the Los Angeles office of Jenner & Block, has significant experience in a variety of complex commercial litigation matters. She has worked as appellate and trial counsel in matters involving class actions, contracts, business torts, intellectual property, employment and insurance coverage. While at Jenner & Block, Ms. Doherty was awarded the Albert E. Jenner pro bono award for her commitment to providing legal services to the needy.
Ms. Doherty also gained appellate experience as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard A. Paez of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Ms. Doherty graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Arizona State University’s Barrett Honors College. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif upon graduation. While at USC, Ms. Doherty served as the Executive Notes Editor of the Southern California Law Review.
