Governor signs bill responding to charter cities/prevailing wage opinion

As mentioned, the Legislature recently passed a bill — SB 7 — that tries to ameliorate the effects of the Supreme Court’s 2012 decision in State Building and Construction Trades Council of California, AFL-CIO v. City of Vista regarding charter cities and the state’s prevailing wage law. Governor Brown signed the bill Sunday.
