The California Lawyers Association awarded its 2020 Bernard E. Witkin Medal to former Justice Ming Chin, who retired from the Supreme Court at the end of August. The honor “[r]ecognizes attorneys and non-attorneys who, through a career of extraordinary service, have made significant contributions to the quality of justice and legal scholarship in California.”
Justice Chin is the seventh California Supreme Court justice to receive the Witkin medal in the award’s 27-year history.
