Two days after the first anniversary of Patricia Guerrero becoming California’s chief justice, today’s Daily Journal has this — “Chief Justice Patricia Guerrero’s biggest challenge: allocating time to 3 ‘all-consuming’ roles,” by John Roemer. (I’m quoted in the profile.)
The article says, “The skill to manage more than one duty at a time is critical in Guerrero’s post, because in addition to deciding cases she also chairs the Judicial Council and acts as the state judiciary’s public face. ‘Stepping into the role of chief justice meant transitioning from one job to three — that was a significant shift,’ Guerrero said. ‘I’ve approached my role with excitement and a deep sense of responsibility and commitment to maintaining and enhancing public confidence in our judicial system.’ ”
