“California Supreme Court Expands Electronic Filing in Response to COVID-19 Pandemic”

This news release, with a link to newly amended electronic filing rules, quotes the court:

henceforth and until further notice, all documents (including briefs) must be filed electronically on the “TrueFiling” platform, and paper copies should not be submitted.

Under rule 4(a), pro per parties and trial courts remain exempt from mandatory electronic filing. Likewise, under rule 6 any party may seek to be excused from mandatory electronic filing.
