California Bar Journal article discusses the Chief Justice’s recent State of the Judiciary address

We previously have discussed the Chief Justice’s recent, well-received speech to the Legislature on the State of the Judiciary. You may recall that the Chief used the 50^th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Gideon v. Wainwright to exhort the Legislature to fund the courts and provide basic access to justice.
