California Bar Journal article discusses the Chief Justice’s recent State of the Judiciary address

We previously have discussed the Chief Justice’s recent, well-received speech to the Legislature on the State of the Judiciary. You may recall that the Chief used the 50th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Gideon v. Wainwright to exhort the Legislature to fund the courts and provide basic access to justice.
