At the annual business meeting of the American Bar Association’s Council of Appellate Lawyers, Horvitz & Levy LLP partner Brad Pauley was voted to the position of chair-elect. The Council is the first and only national appellate bench-bar association. It’s mission is to improve appellate advocacy by promoting dialogue between appellate lawyers and judges.
Mr. Pauley is slated to become chair of the Council in 2015. He has been active with the Council since 2003, has served as its Secretary, and has taken a leading role in planning the annual Summit of the Appellate Judges Education Institute. He also serves as Vice-Chair of the Appellate Courts Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
