The Appellate Court’s Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association will present a program on petitions for review and requests for depublication and publication of Court of Appeal opinions. The February 20 program will feature two people whose attention you want to get with your filings, Supreme Court Justice Joshua Groban and Jessica Barber, the Deputy Director of the court’s Criminal Central Staff. I’ll be the moderator.

Supreme Court Justice Joshua Groban and Jessica Barber, the deputy director of the court’s criminal central staff, will discuss how the court handles petitions for review and what makes a good petition, answer, and reply. They will also walk us through the process around requests for publication/depublication and what makes a strong request.
