Expect At The Lectern blog posts to be delayed for the next couple of weeks while I’m away. Curt Cutting, the writer for Horvitz & Levy’s sister blog, California Punitive Damages, will be filling in a bit, but there’ll be a lot going on.
In the next two weeks, the court will: announce its September calendar, the first of the 2026-2027 term (that should happen this week); finish filing the last three of its 14 August opinions; hold a rare special oral argument session on Monday; and conference twice.
