February 20, 2026

Yahoo!Finance reports that U.S. District Judge Beth Bloom has denied Tesla’s motion to set aside a verdict that awarded $43 million in compensatory damages and $200 million in punitive damages. The lawsuit arises from a 2019 crash. The plaintiffs allege that the crash was caused by Tesla’s Autopilot system, and Tesla argues that the driver was solely to blame.
