Merrill Balassone’s California Courts news release outlines the “series of amendments to the California Rules of Court related to oversight of the California Bar Exam, attorney admissions, and rules addressing attorney civility” that the Supreme Court approved today. One of the revised rules requires attorneys to “declare adherence to the oath language . . . on an annual basis.” That language includes an oath to support the U.S. and California constitutions and to act with “dignity, courtesy and integrity.”
