H&L partner David Axelrad to participate in mock argument on global warming liability on April 10

On Tuesday, April 10, 2012, Horvitz & Levy partner David Axelrad will participate in a mock U.S. Supreme Court oral argument at George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia. The argument will address standing and political question issues that have arisen in public nuisance litigation seeking redress for the alleged consequences of global warming. Mr. Axelrad will advocate the plaintiffs’ position. He will be opposed by Richard Faulk, Chair of the Litigation Department and an experienced appellate advocate at Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP in Houston, Texas. The panel of judges includes former Solicitor General of the United States Paul Clement, former U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit Judge and current president of Baylor University Kenneth Starr, and John Crudent, president of the Environmental Law Institute.
