Former Chief Justice Ronald George will publish what’s billed as a memoir/oral history on November 6. The book — Chief: The Quest for Justice in California — covers George’s brief but illustrious career as a California Deputy Attorney General and then his nearly 40 years as a judge, including almost 20 years on the Supreme Court and almost 15 years as the State’s Chief Justice. It promises to be a comprehensive and essential contribution to California’s judicial history.
