UCLA’s law school will be hosting a celebration next week for its alum, former Supreme Court Justice John Arguelles, class of 1954. The March 22, noon, virtual event will feature welcoming remarks by Dean Jennifer Mnookin, an exhibition of Justice Arguelles’ photographs, and the announcement of a scholarship.
Justice Arguelles served on the court for two years after his 1987 appointment by Governor Deukmejian. UCLA Law says Arguelles was the school’s first alum on the court.
