On Monday at 4:00 p.m., Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye will deliver her second State of the Judiciary address to the California Legislature. As with her first address, this speech will almost certainly focus on the devastating budget cuts that continue to threaten the effective functioning of one of the three branches of state government.
This should have been the Chief Justice’s third address, but the Legislature in 2011 canceled what would have been her first one.
The address will be broadcast on TV and online by the California Channel.
