Chief Justice appoints homelessness work group members

October 23, 2020

During her State of the Judiciary speech in March, Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye announced the formation of a work group to determine ways in which the courts can deal with the homelessness crisis.  Today she named the work group’s members.

The group will be led by chair Third District Court of Appeal Justice Louis Mauro and First District, Division Three, Justice Carin Fujisaki.  The other members are nine current or retired superior court judges.

A Judicial Council news release reports, “The Work Group expects to make recommendations to the Chief Justice and the Judicial Council in summer 2021.”
