Following public safety actions by the City and County of San Francisco, the Supreme Court of California Clerk’s Office will be closed to in-person filings and visits on Monday, June 1, 2020 — eFiling remains available on the court’s website. The court will continue to monitor the local situation and review recommendations from the city administration and the California Highway Patrol.
Amanda Bartlett reported for SF Gate that San Francisco Mayor London Breed has established an 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew and that, “[w]hen the curfew began . . . , the San Francisco Police Department declared an unlawful assembly outside City Hall, where a crowd of protesters remained.” City Hall and the Supreme Court’s building are near each other at Civic Center Plaza.
Bay Area protests are among many nationwide actions following the killing of George Floyd last week. A Sacramento protest this weekend caused some damage to the Stanley Mosk Library and Courts Building.
