Second remote arguments under way

The Supreme Court is hearing arguments on the early-May calendar today.  It’s a different look from the first remote hearings last month.  Apparently because only two justices are in the courtroom now, instead of four last month, each justice has their own screen and there is no view of the entire courtroom.  And, unlike during April’s arguments, the justices in court — Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye and Justice Carol Corrigan — are wearing masks.

There have been a few glitches today, including Justice Ming Chin’s computer audio not working, requiring him to switch to his iPhone midway through the first argument.
