How Tom Helps Clients

Healthcare entities and insurance carriers benefit from Thomas Todd’s expertise concerning California’s Medical Injury Compensation Reform Act (MICRA). He is the author of the firm’s MICRA Manual (last updated 2018). He has particular proficiency regarding periodic payment judgments and was the principal consultant to the Uniform Law Commission’s drafting committee for the Uniform Periodic Payment of Judgments Act.


Tom joined the firm in 1981. Prior to joining the firm, Tom was an Assistant City Attorney with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, Civil Branch. Before that, he was a Deputy City Attorney with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, Criminal Branch.
