Ben Covington draws from a broad background of experience both in appellate procedure and trial litigation.

Before joining the firm, Ben served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Milan D. Smith, Jr. on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Honorable Josephine L. Staton in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Before his clerkships, Ben was a litigation associate at a multinational law firm in Los Angeles. As a litigation associate, Ben worked on a variety of matters, including mass torts, insurance, and healthcare.

Ben graduated with honors from Columbia Law School, where he served as a managing editor of the Columbia Law Review and as a teaching assistant for courses in civil procedure and statutory interpretation.
