The Daily Journal legal newspaper has honored Horvitz & Levy partner Felix Shafir as one of California’s Top Labor & Employment Attorneys. The Daily Journal noted that Felix has been “at the forefront of two closely watched wage and hour disputes that are putting the spotlight on mandatory arbitration agreements in the workplace.”
For example, in one pending California Supreme Court case, Sonic-Calabasas A Inc. v. Moreno, S174475, Felix helped prepare and filed an amicus brief and presented oral argument to address the impact of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in AT&T Mobility LLC v. Concepcion, 131 S. Ct. 1740 (2011), on the enforceability of the employer’s arbitration agreement.
