Our extensive experience assisting clients with complex commercial and business litigation as well as thorny constitutional issues allows us to help clients navigate the unique set of issues facing the cannabis industry. This emerging industry regularly confronts novel issues that require resolution in the courts of appeal. For example, Horvitz & Levy has recently secured reversals in two appeals involving disputes over the ownership of a cannabis business. We have also represented a cannabis retailer involved in the ongoing litigation by cities and counties seeking to prohibit cannabis delivery, and a civil rights case asserting an incarcerated individual’s access to cannabis for religious purposes.
For more information, or to find out more about how our longstanding business & commercial law practice intersects with the evolving cannabis industry, contact Andrea Russi or Rebecca Powell.
