Joshua C. McDaniel Receives 2018 Outstanding Young Lawyer Award from J. Reuben Clark Law Society

The Los Angeles Chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society honored Horvitz & Levy associate Joshua C. McDaniel with the 2018 Outstanding Young Lawyer Award on November 2, 2018. The event took place at The Jonathan Club in Downtown Los Angeles and featured a presentation by Larry Echo Hawk, former United States Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Indian Affairs during the Obama Administration. Josh is President of the Federalist Society in Los Angeles and serves as Pro Bono Chair on the board of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society’s Los Angeles chapter. Josh argued cases before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, multiple divisions of the California Courts of Appeal, and the California Supreme Court. In Perry v. Bakewell Hawthorne, he argued before the California Supreme Court on behalf of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel and other amici in a case involving the interpretation of California’s summary judgment and expert witness disclosure statutes. The Supreme Court unanimously adopted the positions urged by amici.
