John F. Querio elevated to partner.

Horvitz & Levy LLP is pleased to announce that John F. Querio has joined the firm’s partnership. John joined the firm in 2007 and has significant experience handling civil appeals in state and federal court in a broad range of subject areas, with particular expertise in arbitration, class action defense, the anti-SLAPP statute and the First Amendment, employer liability, legal malpractice, malicious prosecution, products liability/toxic torts, punitive damages, civil rights litigation, insurance coverage, and hospital peer review litigation.
Before joining Horvitz & Levy, John was a litigation associate at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP. Prior to that, he served as a law clerk to Judge Pamela A. Rymer of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and to Chief Judge David F. Levi of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.
John graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton University. He also attended Cambridge University, receiving a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) degree in International Relations. He received his law degree from Stanford Law School, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif, and served as a Stanford Law Review editor.
