Legal newspaper The Recorder has released its list of Lawyers on the Fast Track, which includes Horvitz & Levy LLP attorney Mark A. Kressel. The list recognizes 50 California lawyers in their first ten years of practice “whose early accomplishments indicate they will be tomorrow’s top lawyers and leaders.” According to The Recorder, “[t]he attorneys selected . . . stood out among their peers based on their career achievements and leadership roles within their practice, organization or the larger community.”
Mark was selected from a pool of 200 nominees. To be eligible, lawyers must have been in their first 10 years of practice.
The Recorder’s profile of Mark notes that his current cases include a First Amendment challenge to a new California law targeting paparazzi for enhanced penalties for reckless driving, and a major CEQA case pending before the California Supreme Court.
The Recorder’s editor-in-chief, Greg Mitchell said about this year’s nominees: “One thing that struck us, as we sifted through the nominations, was the determination that many of our nominees displayed. They knew what they wanted to accomplish in the profession, and they've gone out and made it happen - in some cases, in an astonishingly short time.”
