November 12, 2009
On November 10, 2009, founding partner Ellis Horvitz delivered a presentation to the Appellate Courts Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Mr. Horvitz and Professor Emeritus Gideon Kanner of Loyola Law School (of counsel with Manatt, Phelps, and Phillips) provided a historical perspective on California appellate litigation based on their combined 90 years of experience. The presentation, addressed to a standing-room only crowd, included a discussion of the past century’s most memorable California cases, as well as its preeminent state court justices and most effective appellate advocates.
