How Nicolas Helps Clients
Nicolas I. Sonnenburg joined the firm in 2022 through Horvitz & Levy’s Appellate Fellowship Program. As a fellow, he helps draft appellate briefs, motions, and letters to the court. He also supports the firm by researching complex legal issues, drafting memoranda, developing articles for publication, and cite-checking briefs and motions.
Nick graduated from Loyola Law School. While there, he served as a technical editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review. He externed for the Honorable R. Gary Klausner of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and the Honorable Kim McLane Wardlaw of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He also spent a summer as a law clerk at Greines, Martin, Stein & Richland LLP. Before law school, Nick wrote for the Los Angeles Daily Journal. He graduated from Santa Clara University with a political science degree in 2016.
