How Rebecca Helps Clients
Rebecca A. Marcyes joined the firm in 2023 as part of Horvitz & Levy’s Appellate Fellowship Program. As a fellow, she assists in drafting appellate briefs, motions, and letters to the court. She also supports other Horvitz & Levy attorneys by researching complex legal issues, drafting legal memoranda, developing articles for publication, and cite-checking briefs and motions.
Rebecca graduated from UC Law SF in 2022. As a law student, she served as a civil extern with the Ninth Circuit Office of Staff Attorneys, and participated in the UC Law SF Appellate Project, arguing in the Ninth Circuit as certified student counsel. She also served as a legal extern with Bay Area Legal Aid, and participated in the Mediation Community Justice Clinic at UC Law SF. Prior to joining the firm, Rebecca worked at the California Supreme Court as an annual attorney on the Central Staff, Criminal Division. Rebecca obtained her bachelor’s degree in English from Barnard College.
