John F. Querio
John Querio is a partner at the firm, where he has worked on dozens of appeals in state and federal court. His trial and appellate experience covers a wide range of practice areas, including arbitration, class actions, the anti-SLAPP statute, the First Amendment, legal malpractice, malicious prosecution, hospital peer review, products liability/toxic torts, punitive damages, section 1983 litigation, and insurance coverage.
Before joining Horvitz & Levy, Mr. Querio served as a law clerk to Judge Pamela A. Rymer of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and to Chief Judge David F. Levi of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. After clerking, Mr. Querio was a litigation associate at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP.
Mr. Querio graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton University. He also attended Cambridge University, receiving a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) degree in International Relations. Mr. Querio received his Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif, and served as a Stanford Law Review editor.
