Peter Abrahams
Partner

Peter Abrahams joined the firm as a partner in 1986. He has handled approximately 300 civil appeals and has argued numerous cases in the California Supreme Court.

Prior to joining Horvitz & Levy, Mr. Abrahams was a Partner with O’Flaherty, Abrahams & Carl. Before that, he was a Litigation Associate, and later Partner, with Harrington, Foxx, Dubrow & Canter. Earlier, he served as a Research Attorney to Associate Justice Clarke E. Stephens, California Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District, Division Five. He is admitted to practice before California state courts and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Mr. Abrahams is the author or co-author of several articles on civil procedure and appellate law topics and has been a frequent Continuing Education of the Bar lecturer.

Mr. Abrahams received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Los Angeles and his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles. While at Loyola, he was a Member of Loyola Law Review and a Teaching Fellow in Legal Writing.
